In 2018, I began seeing a Spiritual Director myself and soon realized how important it was for me to have a sacred place to grow into a deeper relationship with God as I navigated the changing landscape of being a pastor, experiencing life moments of joy, transitions, and concerns. It’s easy to be so focused on life and its complications, but with spiritual direction I was able to unravel the complexity and see clearly that God’s presence and energy were guiding me in reframing how I looked at life.

My role as your spiritual director is to invite you into a contemplative listening space, offering you the same opportunity I had to grow into a deeper relationship with God. As we invite the presence of the Holy Spirit, you’re able to lift up your questions, struggles, and joys, and to see what insights or scripture He has for you to ponder within your heart and mind.

Credentials:

I received a Bachelor of Science in Communications with a minor in Music from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. I began my career working in journalism and public broadcasting. A number of life events led me to ministry, and in 2013, I graduated from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. I was ordained in January 2014 and have served congregations in rural Clay County, MN. I currently serve as Associate Pastor at Olivet Lutheran Church in Fargo, ND.

In 2019, I received a Level 1 Coach in Congregational Vitality Coaching Certificate through CoachNet/International Coach Federation and the ELCA. In 2021, I completed Christos’ Tending the Holy Spiritual Direction Certificate Program and become a Certified Spiritual Director.

What I can do for you:

I offer individual and group spiritual direction, as well as retreats on a variety of topics, including using photography as a spiritual practice, creativity, and faith, and learning to create space for spiritual growth.
