Child-Parent Relationship Training

The curriculum is called Child-Parent Relationship Training. It is a manualized treatment protocol for PARENTS of kids ages 3-10, with adaptations for kids older/younger than this. It focuses on two main objectives:

1. Strengthen the parent-child relationship Parents are taught the basics of child-centered play therapy through demonstration, role play, and video feedback. By using children’s natural (God-designed) language of play, parents can enter into and understand their child’s world. Then the child can be known by parent in deep and meaningful ways. Weekly homework assignments are given to help reorient parents to the positive that is present and build on that.
2. Empower caregivers to effectively steer kids by teaching parents:

   1. Basics of the developing brain

   2. Attunement (feelings reflection/reflective listening)

   3. Responding vs reacting

   4. Returning responsibility to child

   5. Limit setting

   6. Choice giving for empowerment

   7. Choice giving with consequences

Details: 10 sessions- Thursdays, 8:30am-10am. For parents and caregivers of children ages 3-10. Group size limited to 10 participants.

Starting: June 13^th at the Fargo Office: 1112 Nodak Dr. Fargo ND 58103

Cost: $500/person for all 10 sessions, one-time payment option or 2 payment options- with one payment at sign-up and another halfway through the training.
