“I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become.” We can become who God has created us to be regardless of what has happened to us.  When we are not walking in His truth it can significantly impact how we heal, learn, grow, and see ourselves. One of my goals as a Christian Counselor is to come beside you and/or your family to create a safe environment to help you discover who and what God wants you to become. Through Him, through His word, and a willing heart, I am confident that together this can be achieved, and transformation can take place. 

My passion is to walk alongside you and/or your family in the journey that you are on and help you rediscover or discover for the first time these truths. In my practice I will work with you towards your transformation remembering Psalms 28:7 as a principle; “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him and I am helped. Therefore, my heart rejoices, and I praise Him with my song.”

Areas of Interest: Depression, self-esteem issues, stress management, spirituality, women’s issues, adjustment disorders, behavioral issues, divorce, communication skills, parenting, grief and loss, relationship issues, and anxiety.

Education & Experience:  Master of Social Work Capella University, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Bachelor in Social Work Dana College, Blair Nebraska, and Associate in Liberal Arts, Waldorf College, Forest City, Iowa, in addition to 30+ years of experience in Social Work.
