John R. Johnson
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
For the past twenty-nine years, I have been married to my wife for whom I am very thankful to be with. We have four children, two adult children and two teenagers including one adoptive daughter. We love camping, bicycling, and kayaking together. I grew up on a farm in West Central MN. My parents loved God and did their best to demonstrate how to serve others, work hard using the skills and strengths I was given, and to be a channel in which God could encourage and strengthen others. At a young age, Jesus became both the Master and Closest Friend (Jn. 15:15) of my life and he has given hope and peace during challenging times as a teenager, young adult, husband, and father. Helping others to find hope and a deeper (or even new) faith has been my desire in working with people, both individuals and families, for the past twenty-nine years. I’ve worked as a school counselor, in-home therapist, and clinical counselor, and seen clients in inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment centers and in an outpatient mental health clinic setting. I love to learn and to expand my skills and knowledge with the intention of helping my clients heal and grow more deeply and completely.
